Fred Hackney is a native Floridian, having grown up in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. After receiving his formal education at the University of Tennessee, Fred joined the United States Air Force where he served for four years. Upon leaving the military he entered the Financial Services industry. In 1994, Fred decided he could no longer place his client's money at risk and left working in the "Wall Street" environment and founded "Hackney and Associates".

Fred brings a vast knowledge to his clients having worked for several investment banking firms as a Stock Broker and Registered Investment Advisor. He has been nationally and locally published on many issues involving retirement planning and the ethical marketing of financial services to seniors. His articles have appeared in Senior Market Advisor, Life Insurance Selling, Florida Association of Financial and Insurance Professionals, The Villages Daily Sun and the Ocala Star Banner. Fred is a licensed insurance agent in the State of Florida (lic#A107553) and a proud member of the Northeast Florida Better Business Bureau. His goal is to "Protect and Shield" his clients' assets from risk of loss.
